CF 2-way and Artistic Events on call on a very chilly Saturday morning. Off to take team photos...nope, it's so cold here this morning they pushed the tee times to 0930...

Local jumper John Kallend has kindly sent me a link to WGN Superstation's very nice piece on the USPA Nationals here. (Note: I couldn't get the link to work in Firefox, but it works in IE). It is very well done

Chasing down AE teams for team photos is like herding cats. Or as Rook put it, pushing water up hill. We have Freestyle, Skysurf, Freefly and CF 2-way jumping right now. It's starting to warm up and wow who was that skysurf team? Will have to get some streaming videos, that was good stuff...

I spent most of the day chasing down team photos and I got all but 303. I see from the scores in skysurf that a terrific battle is brewing between Perris Skysurf and Resurrection, and the two other teams are pretty good too.

In CF 2-way, team FSC-2, Chris Gay and Mark Gregory, are off to an early lead and look fabulous thanks in part to the terrific camera work of Keith Thivierge. A score of 14 on round 2.

Today is my last day here and I want to thank Skydive Chicago for having me here, they have done an incredible job and I've heard nothing but positive things from the competitors. I got to play judge and jury and spectator and commentator (next time I hope to add competitor) and it was a lot of fun. Thanks go to Jan for all her unseen work behind the scenes, I can't begin to tell you all how much work she puts into keeping these scoring systems going with software updates and additions.

Ouch. The Clean Air 2-way CF had a 8 busted to a 1 on round 4. Read about it at JanBits. They were in 2nd place at the time...Jan says "That's a bummer man." It looks like FSC-2 is going to run away with it for the gold, but there is a big free-for-all among a half-dozen teams for 2nd and 3rd...

More streaming videos have been posted on the main page. Folks, check out what Spaceland Anomaly is doing in Freefly. It's amazing stuff. And it's not just that what they are doing is amazing, it's amazing how FAST they go from one amazing thing to another. Note on the videos: the teams' actual round may differ from what's indicated on the web page or file name. Our apologies for any errors, we're just trying to get some videos posted for the time being.

Los Judges will be working on the AE teams for a while. Those events can take a long time to judge, it can get very subjective.

Okay, time for me to wrap it up. Jan's going to take it the rest of the way. Ya'll take care and see you next time!
