Step 8: "DZ TV" Connections

F Note that it is not required to make any connections described on this page in order to judge your competition. If you do not have or do not require "DZ TV", your setup is complete and you can begin judging.

Before making the "DZ TV" connections, it will help you to know more about the Scoring Processor components you are working with.

Both the TBC and graphics card components have composite video for inputs and outputs.

Connect the TBC card to the graphics card as shown below, using one "patch" cable, a BNC-to-RCA adapter, and a male-male RCA adapter (all provided):

First patch cable, connecting the TBC card on the right to the graphics card on the left.

Next, connect the graphics card output to your DZ TV using the other "patch" cable:

Second patch cable, connecting the graphics card output to your DZ TV cable (bottom left).

Remember that the video signal provided by the SP is in composite format. A common mistake is to use an RF cable connected to the RF input ("antenna in") of another video device (big-screen TV, VCR, etc).

See the OmniSkore User's Guide for more information about "DZ TV".

At this point, your setup is complete and you are ready to begin judging!
