Welcome to Omnibits for Tuesday, 19 September (Day 3)

1100

You guessed it -- we've been on wx hold all morning, BUT, I hear turbines spinning up.

I've been busy this morning getting fixes (pun intented) done in the Wingsuit Performance snapshots -- the performance graph (from clicking on a score) and the stick's map view (from clicking on the percentage score to the right of a score). All that is brand new omniware, written on the flight from NC to CA last Friday, so it had a few holes in it.

(Side note: I had made an offer to Klaus Rheinwald (of Paralog.net) to host the WS Performance competition log files on his site, because obvious. Sadly he declined the offer. So until I either do an interactive web site myself, or team up with skyderby.ru (which is also a great alternative), the screen snapshots from the OSHD scoring module will have to suffice.)

(Side side note: For you WS Perf pilots on site, I have two laptops in the MTF1 building running a "read only" version of the scoring software for you to browse your results interactively and compare to other pilots, using the same tool the judges are using.)

(Side side side note: I know you WS Perf pilots are used to Klaus. Personally, I wish he was here, it would have saved me a lot of time and toil. I did not ask to replace him here; I was asked. I do not know the reasons, but at this point it doesn't really matter. I'm here, and I'm doing the best I can. Thank you for your patience :))

(Side side side side note: If I had my way, there would be no on-site WS Performance calculation. It would all be done using a site like skyderby.ru (by judges on site, of course). But I di-di-di-digress ...)
