We're here!!! All of the US teams have arrived in Boituva safe and sound. The dz was buzzing today with teams from all over training...Japanese skysurf, Aussie, Great Britain, Canadian, Babylon freefly and more. I even saw Olav in the midst of it all.

The shot from the air you can see the dirt runway, the swoop pond and to the right of that the tents that will be used for the event once it starts up. For those that don't know.....Boituva is an interesting DZ. Anyone who wants to is free to operate here. So there are something like 11 tandem operations and a bunch more gear stores. Well.....I guess someone decided to actually open up a DZ at the same airport called Skydive Vera Cruz. So starting on Monday, all of the events will be moved across the runway to the other DZ. Not sure if I got this right or if I have the politics straight, but it goes something like that. Please feel free to correct me if I have misstated something here.

7:00 PM

Managed to get in 1 jump and checked out Amy & Curtis's routine. So far they look pretty good! Also caught the Japanese skysurf team exiting....And found the Canadian team enjoying the festivities last night as well as a few of the US delegation sporting their new digs.....

That's about all the news from here right now. Hopefully the teams will be able to get in some training tomorrow.....Monday is also a training day which will end in the official close to registration and the draw for event. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more jump shots in ;-)

Just an FYI......the internet is a hard thing to get around here. I'll do my best, but if you don't see anything for a few days and I don't reply to e-mail, don't be surprised....hopefully I can locate a good hookup soon. More soon!
