<Tap tap tap> Is this thing on? [obnoxious mic noises]

It's bright and sunny and mild outside today. Registration will continue until late this afternoon, with official training jumps in the meantime. I've reposted the results pages to reflect the current state of team registrations and practice jump scores. Please note that all those (training) results pages will go away once the competition begins!

After some coordinating with T2 at home, it looks like we're going to be close to our normal coverage capabilities for this meet. Kewl!

Please note that I, T1, your humble and benevolent OmniSkore Chief Engineer, are not a webmaster, so whatever good I manage to accomplish with FrontPage here in Gap is purely bonus territory for me. I'll be authoring the 'Bits pages and the contents of the teams pages, but T2, while I sleep at night, will be making sure all the buttons go to the right results pages and all the square pegs are plugged into square holes. So, if you see a broken link or some frotzed spelling in a 'Bits page, please let this miscreant know, using the e-mail address at the bottom of this page.

Alternatively, for you Yahoo IM users, you can try to reach me live if you care to. My Id there is omniguy_98.

As far as team photos, we're going to do our best to (1) get them and (2) get all of them, but it's going to (1) take some time, and (2) take some more time. So please, if you try to follow a team link from a results page and either (1) get nothing or (2) get something with no picture, please be patient! That's not the flavor of broken link we need to be informed about. We'll be working on it hard the first few days. Lucy has the camera batteries lined up and a CF card reader reserved for us at the Hyper-U (pronounced EE-pair-YOO).

Flash card reader delivered. I've just posted a separate 'Bits page for today's photos. It sure is nice out there today!

The competition draw and competitor's briefing have just completed. Waiting for team manifest listings with team numbers and the ubiquitous competition draw...

The opening ceremonies are completed, the draw is posted and the beer is flowing. We're still working on the correct shortcuts elsewhere, but until then, to browse a particular draw, clicken Sie hier bitte:

(Yes, I know the image links in the CF draw are b0rken, T2 will fix it as soon as he gets back from lunch with R1R2.)

The initial manifest order and team names are also posted as the initial results pages...

The last software update is in the can ... this one for GodFrog, the "OmniSkore" software used for speed events, which needed an update to base a final score on two judges' times when a third did not "clock out" (specify less than a maximum working time), and to give the maximum score when only 1 out of 3 judges "clocked out". Hmmm ... I hope that rule applies for USPA 10-Way as well!

I had hoped to have time to talk about a judging controversy that's been raging here, specifically about block 12. It was discussed at great length at the Anton Molevsky meet a month ago. Hopefully I'll have time to discuss that tomorrow... see you then!!
