T1 Bit 3
In response to T2 and the e-mail he received as
webmaster this morning:
If the unhappy surfer had said something like this…
Hello,
I am having trouble loading your web site with
Netscape. Some of my friends are having the same
problem. If you could find a way to make your site
work with Netscape, or perhaps offer a suggestion on
how we can use Netscape differently, we would really
appreciate it. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
…then I would be hard at work right now doing
standings software that exports results tables in plain,
generic HTML 4.0 instead of the XML/HTML mishmash that
Microsoft Excel is currently exporting. Instead, I’m
writing this.
Just a little suggestion for people who want a little
more from something that’s completely free…
T1 ;-)
p.s. I tested the web pages from my office, running six
different versions of Netscrape and Internet Exploder on
Windows NT, Sun Solaris and Linux platforms. That’s in
addition to the testing T2 did with Opera and his copy of
Netscrape. Opera did best, none were perfect, but all of
them worked. Somebody, tell us what more we can do! ;)
