The Intermediate Draw

For both the 4- and 8-way Intermediate events, the competition draw is the same as the Open classes with the following exception: instead of doing all five or six scoring formations before starting the sequence over again, the Intermediate classes perform only the first 3 or 4 formations of the sequence. In other words, if the draw begins with two blocks, the Intermediate team does those two blocks and starts over at the beginning. If the draw begins with a block and a random or vice versa, it is those three points. For 8-way, which has three 3-point blocks, the Intermediate team may be required to perform 3 to 5 points before starting the sequence over again.

In short: 4-way Intermediate teams do the first 3 or 4 points of each round. 8-way Intermediate teams do the first 3, 4, or 5 points of each round.
